JoSAA Counselling 2025: Expected JoSAA Cutoff 2025
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) publishes the opening and closing ranks of each round of the counselling process. These ranks are used to determine the cutoff, which decides eligibility for admission to various engineering programmes in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs after the JEE Main 2025 results are announced. After that, JoSAA will publish the institute-wise cutoffs for all the participating institutes.
1. How to Check JoSAA Cutoffs 2025
You can follow these steps to find the official JoSAA cutoffs 2025:
- Visit the official website: To begin, open the official website: josaa.nic.in.

- Submit and view: Click on “Submit,” and the opening and closing ranks will be displayed on your screen.
2. JoSAA Expected Cutoffs 2025
- IITs: The cutoffs for IITs will also differ for each course and category. For example, in 2024, the closing rank for Computer Science at IIT Bombay was 68.
- NITs: All NITs have different cutoffs, and you will need to search for the specific NIT and course that you are interested in. For example, the closing ranks for NIT Durgapur in B.Tech were 7361 in Computer Science, 11537 for B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, and 23970 in B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- IIITs: IIITs have different cutoff ranges as well, and you should check the institute selection and the course. The IIIT cutoffs for General candidates were around 100000-150000 closing rank.
3. What are the Factors Affecting JoSAA Cutoff 2025?
- JEE Main Score: The higher the score, the greater the chance you get a better seat.
- Category: The cutoffs can vary and also depend on the categories General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and EWS.
- Institute and Program Preference: High cut-offs will be for the top institutes.
- Number of Seats Available: The lower the number of seats available, the higher the cutoff.
