Why NTA had to conduct RE-NEET?

NTA conducted the NEET 2026 examination on 3 May 2026. However, due to large scale allegation of paper leaks, NTA had to cancel the NEET 2026 examination. NTA expressed concern regarding the fairness of the exam. The re-exam was announced to protect fairness, transparency, and trust in the medical entrance exam process. 

The RE-NEET will be conducted on 21 June 2026. It will also be the last time the exam will be conducted in Pen and Paper Mode. The time of examination is from 2 PM to 5:15 PM.
