Diphu Medical College Admission 2026

Admission to the MBBS course at DMC is based on a student’s NEET UG 2026 score and rank. The college does not conduct a separate entrance examination. Therefore, candidates must complete the NEET examination and counselling process to secure a seat

  • Appear for NEET UG 2026

First, candidates must register for and appear in NEET UG 2026. They must also meet the eligibility conditions prescribed for MBBS admission.

  • Qualify for the Examination

Next, candidates must secure the required NEET UG qualifying percentile. However, simply qualifying does not guarantee admission. The final allotment depends on the candidate’s rank, category, quota, available seats and college preference.

  • Register for NEET Counselling

Qualified

  • For 15% All India Quota seats
  • DME Assam counselling: For 85% Assam State Quota seats

Candidates applying through the State Quota must also meet the domicile and other eligibility rules prescribed by the Government of Assam. Candidates considering other NEET-based healthcare courses can also check the latest AYUSH UG Counselling 2026 process for admission to courses such as BAMS, BHMS and other AYUSH programmes. Students considering dentistry as an alternative to MBBS can also follow the NEET BDS Counselling 2026 updates for information about BDS seat allotment and counselling results.

  • Fill in College Preferences

After registration, candidates need to complete the choice-filling process. Those interested in the college should select DMCH and arrange it according to their preferred order.

  • Accept the Allotted Seat

The counselling authority will allot seats based on NEET rank, category, quota, filled choices and seat availability. If a candidate receives a seat at DMC, they must download the allotment letter and follow the instructions given for that counselling round.

  • Report to the College

Finally, the candidate must report to DMC within the given deadline. The college will verify the original documents, certificates, and eligibility details. The candidate must also complete the admission formalities and pay the prescribed fees to confirm the MBBS seat.

Diphu Medical College Eligibility

The main eligibility conditions are:

  • Minimum Educational Qualification

First, candidates must pass Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Students appearing for their Class 12 examination may also take NEET UG. However, they must pass the examination and submit the required certificates before admission.

  • Required Subjects in Class 12

Candidates must study Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English in the qualifying examination. They must pass these subjects individually. Therefore, students without the required science subjects cannot apply for MBBS admission.

  • Minimum Class 12 Marks

Candidates must obtain the required aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology:

Candidate CategoryMinimum PCB Marks
General/Unreserved50%
SC, ST and OBC40%

SC40%
  • NEET UG Qualification

Next, every candidate must appear for and qualify for NEET UG 2026. Students must secure the category-specific qualifying percentile announced with the NEET results. However, simply qualifying for NEET does not guarantee a seat. Admission depends on rank, category, quota, college preference, and seat availability.

  • Age Requirement

A candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December 2026, if the NEET Exam is conducted for the 2026-27 session. This pattern continues every academic year.

  • Assam Domicile

Finally, candidates applying for the 85% Assam State Quota must satisfy the residency and eligibility rules prescribed by the Government of Assam. They need to submit a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), domicile certificate, or other documents requested by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.

Diphu Medical College Cutoff 2026

The final DMCH NEET cutoff 2026 will be known once the NEET Counselling 2026 is completed. However, we can get a good idea if we look at the cutoff of the 2 rounds.
